Let’s Settle It Today: Keratin Lash Lift vs Lash Extensions
Many people are ditching their eye makeup to focus on using artificial lashes, but what option is best for you? A heated debate amongst beauty enthusiasts Keratin lashes versus traditional lash extensions for optimal results. With spring and summer on the horizon, it’s time to settle this debate and help you get the low-maintenance fresh, and natural look.
What are Keratin Lashes?
Keratin Lash lifts are a semi-permanent process that will curl your natural lashes longer than any makeup could. If you’re wondering how long a keratin lash lift will last, you can expect up to four weeks or more, but results can vary.
The procedure works like this:
- You’ll go through a consultation and learn about which curls you can have done, as well as which lash type is going to be your desired look.
- One of our certified lash technicians will apply a cooling gel pad underneath your eyes to ensure that your bottom lashes are secure throughout the procedure.
- The technician will then apply a silicone pad to the top eyelid with the pad curve determining the final shape of your lashes.
- The lash technician will then use a lash comb and lift your lashes up onto the pad, combing them thoroughly to ensure the perfect amount of separation.
- A solution is then applied to open up your hair follicles and ensure the lashes will take the shape of the pad being used with the second solution used to lock in that shape.
- From here, you have the option to have your new lashes tinted.
What are Lash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are another form of semipermanent curl that you can use to enhance the look of your eyelashes. They are said to last up to four weeks but the traditional version is not as natural looking or as sensitive for delicate eyes.
What are the Similarities?
Both the lash extensions and Keratin lash lift are great for enhancing your eyes. Both forms of enhancements can last a minimum of four weeks, and both forms have been making women and men feel more confident and sexy for years.
What are the Differences?
Keratin lash lifts only take around 40 minutes to apply while traditional lifts take upwards of an hour or more. Regular lash extensions typically last a maximum of four weeks whereas Keratin Lash lifts will provide the look for around eight to nine weeks. Keratin lash lifts also provide a softer look.
